5. While the phone is charging, you use it.

When attempting to charge your phone, you shouldn't keep the battery low. As a result, the battery becomes overstressed and tries to do two things at once. If someone is calling, you can disconnect the phone from the outlet (as well as the charger) and then plug it back in after the call is over.
